3rd Annual CHHMA Golf Classic in Support of Parkinson's

The 3rd Annual CHHMA Golf Classic in support of Parkinson's was another fantastic day at Angus Glen Golf Club. 120 golfers, some in shorts, arrived at the course to be met with a blustery wind. However, by the time the golfers were pulling out to their start positions the sun was out and it was a perfect day.

Every hole had a competition thanks to our Corporate Sponsors: Anchor Hocking; Groupe SEB; KAZ Canada; Onward Sales & Marketing, The Holmes Group & TEMCO. There was poker and trivia contests, closest to the pins on all par 3's, longest and straightest drives etc. etc. not to mention all the usual fun that goes along with playing a game of golf with colleagues and friends.

Some of the winners of the day included Wendy Hanson who took the Ladies Low Net, and Chris Pillips taking mens honours with each collecting a foursome at Station Creek as their prize; Rick Kenny was a big winner as his name was drawn by Global Access and awarded a VIA Rail pass worth $1,500; Dave McKeller won a 24" Ultra Flat TV and Warren Welner was pleased to pose with Peter Zezel, a former NHL player, and receive a signed autographed hockey sweater.

Prize Winners

It was a great day, with great weather and fabulous prizes, but the real purpose of the event was not overlooked, as the attendees dug into their pockets to support the Parkinson's Society on behalf of Ed Barnes. Ed was in the audience with his wife Pat together with Dick Grimm former President of the RCGA and better known as Mr. Golf in Canada.

Here are some of the highlights of the day!!!!!
