4th Annual CHHMA Golf Classic in Support of Parkinson's

As morning broke on the day of the 4th Annual CHHMA Golf Classic in support of Parkinson's it was evident that that the golf gods had decided to bless us with perfect weather for our tournament at Angus Glen Golf Club. At registration it was obvious that our 104 golfers had checked the forecast and were attired for a fine summer day even though it was early October. Clearly it was going to be a great day for golf with friends, colleagues and customers.

Thanks to our corporate hole sponsors, Delta Faucet; Groupe SEB; Home Hardware; Logistics Solutions; MTD Canada; Onward Sales & Marketing and The Holmes Group we had a myriad of prizes to be won throughout the round. Through the purchase of a passport everyone was entered for all of the competitions which included a poker draw; closest to the pin on all the par 3's, two longest putt holes and a most accurate tee shot hole. Entry also provided each participant with a golf shirt and a sleeve of guaranteed un-losable balls, (although some players did comment later that there must have been a manufacturing glitch with these, since they HAD managed to lose them. We'll be looking into that problem.). We're happy to report that, in the typical response we see from our industry, every golfer bought a passport in support of this deserving charity and also that our silent auction after dinner was most generously subscribed. Our thanks go out to everyone for their support.

Included in the winning circle on the day were Karen Pellizzari, who took the Ladies Low Net, and Scott Young with the Mens Low Net. Some other big winners were Jonathan Fava, who took home a marvelous DVD VCR Combo TV set, Scott Anderson and Craig Riley, who both won a complete Digital Photo Shop. Other prizes went out to a number of our skilled attendees. Our draw prize winner was Gary Boshart, who headed back to Milverton with a Panasonic flat screen television.

It was a marvelous day, with phenomenal weather, great company and happy prize winners, but the real purpose of the event was not overlooked and we thank you all again for supporting the Parkinson's Society on behalf of Ed Barnes. Ed joined us for dinner along with his wife Pat, and it was a pleasure for everyone to have the chance to meet with them again this year. Here are some of the highlights of the day!!!!!
