On January 25, 2012, Mr. Bill Morrison, President of TruServ Canada, provided an update on the new company (about a year old since its acquisition by RONA inc. last year) at a CHHMA speaker breakfast seminar held at the International Centre (Conference Facility) in Mississauga, Ontario..

Mr. Morrison reviewed the accomplishments over the last year which included the rebranding of their stores under the TRU Hardware brand and a successful year of dealer recruitment.

He also discussed an insightful list of top ten trends that will be driving business in the industry over the next few years as well as their key plans for 2012 and beyond including a roll-out of TRU Building Centres and TRU Country & Garden formats this year. The company is in a strong financial position and will be aggressive in investing in areas to grow their business.

Mr. Morrison answered a number of questions from the audience and generously stayed around after the presentation to talk to members on a one-on-one basis.
