Membership Eligibility

Category 1 - Manufacturing Member

a) Firms, corporations or divisions of corporations that manufacture consumer oriented hardware, housewares, and related seasonal, decorative and DIY products in Canada, or process foreign products in Canada by altering or adding value to said products such as packaging and labelling.

b) Canadian firms which are subsidiaries or divisions of foreign corporations and whose sole function is to represent that parent company in Canada, with respect to marketing and/or distributing products manufactured by said company.

Category 2 - Agency Member

Firms, corporations or divisions of corporations such as agencies who do not qualify under the criteria of manufacturers, but represent one or more Manufacturing Member and derive a significant portion of their income from the sale of hardware or housewares products in Canada.

Category 3 - Affiliate Member
Firms, corporations or divisions of corporations that derive a significant portion of their income from the supply of goods or services to the hardware and housewares industry in Canada.

Voting Rights

Manufacturing and Agency members are entitled to one vote per member on all occasions where votes of members of the Association are called for, including meetings of the Association, election of the Directors and amendment of the bylaws. Affiliate members have no voting rights in the Association.
