CanWel's President and CEO, Tom Donaldson, addressed this morning a room full of CHHMA members anxious to hear his vision for his company after having acquired Sodisco-Howden.
Mr. Dutton referred to the last decade as a period of "unbridled" growth that allowed for a much larger than expected emergence of the big-box segment, and featured the incredible market expansion that allowed for the continued viability of small and medium sized independent hardware and building supply stores not impacted by consolidation. After outlining the structure of the new organization, Mr. Donaldson talked about the need to focus on what Sodisco has to do to grow and be effective and efficient in all that it does. He also spoke to the need to "get closer to the customer" and doing a better job of nurturing relationships ... Making a Difference!
